Current Projects
Developing Web-delivered Coping Skills Training for Women with Alcoholic Partners (funded by NIAAA). On-going Research
Dissemination of a MI-based preparatory procedure (funded by NIAAA).  Investigating the dissemination and “real world” effectiveness of a motivational interviewing-(MI)-based preparatory procedure designed to reduce early attrition from alcoholism outpatient treatment (with Principal Investigator Kimberly S. Walitzer, PhD and Co-investigators Kurt H. Dermen, PhD and Gerard J. Connors, PhD).
Knowledge exchange and skills training for therapists (funded by NIDA).  Investigating the use of a combination of laptop computers, an interactive database, and distance learning for a new therapist training program (in collaboration with R. Lorraine Collins, PhD of UB’s School of Public Health and Health Professions, and Nancy Smyth, PhD of UB’s School of Social Work.)
Linking advanced practice centers and local health departments (funded by NACCHO, WNYHA, and the Linking Advanced Practice Centers & Local Health Departments).
