College Sports, Gender, and Substance Use (funded by NIDA).
Examining longitudinal relationships between high school sports participation and substance use as well as developing comprehensive measures of athletic involvement, gender and substance use in college students (in collaboration with RIA’s Grace M. Barnes, Ph.D., Michael Farrell, Ph.D. of UB’s Department of Sociology; Donald Sabo, Ph.D. of D’Youville College; and Merrill Melnick, Ph.D., of SUNY College at Brockport).
